Bulgaria is home to some truly spectacular landscapes, yet many of its most remarkable regions remain virtually unknown. In my newest video, I explore 10 of the wildest, most remote and least-visited places in the country — territories where nature still feels raw, quiet and completely untouched.
Among them are the dramatic gorges of the Devin River, the mysterious karst fields south of Marciganica, forgotten ridges deep in the Rhodope Mountains, the winding meanders of the Byala River, the ancient forests of Eastern Strandzha, and remote borderland wilderness stretching between Bulgaria and its neighbors. These are places that rarely appear in guidebooks, but offer an authentic sense of exploration far away from the usual routes.
Each location in the video is presented with a short geographic overview, key terrain features, and impressions from real on-the-ground journeys.
